Mayuri Patel

Mayuri Patel attends Webb Bridge Middle School. Mayuri has shown interest in dance from a very young age. She started learning Bharathanatyam at age seven under the guidance of Guru Preeti Vinayak Shah. She carries a passion for Bharathanatyam because she feels that it is a very expressive and artistic dance form. For the past six years Mayuri has been training towards her Arangetram and in the meantime has participated in the dance recitals by the Academy.

Other than dance, she takes piano lessons and plays volleyball for the WBMS jaguars. She also helped build houses for Habitat for Humanity. Mayuri is an honor student and excels in all subjects.

A few words from Mayuri:           

"Learning from Preeti Aunty has been a great experience. As a teacher, she has a balance of patience and discipline. Even at a young age, she had patience of dealing with a seven year old and at the same time made sure I havea strong foundation. I  love coming to dance class. I always look forward to going to class as there is always something new to learn."

"Our dance group has devoted a lot of time meticulously training for this important performance. It has been a group effort between Preeti and all of us to make this show marvelous."
