MEET OUR 2019-2020 MENTORS AND ASSISTANT INSTRUCTORS
Manasi Gali has been a student at Natyam Arts Academy for over 12 years. She is currently a student at Georgia Tech where she is studying Environmental Engineering. Manasi has participated in NAA’s major dance productions like Chapters of Her Life, Margam 2016, Margam 2018 and for local events at Children’s Museum of Atlanta, ISKON, Tritt Elementary School and Fulton County Library Systems. She mentors students on weekends and spends several hours each week as an assistant instructor. Our younger students love to see Manasi Akka at the studio. She is a true inspiration and a role model to our aspiring Bharatanatyam students.
NETHRA VALLI SHAH
Nethra Valli Shah is the daughter and disciple of Preeti Vinayak. She has been studying Bharatanatyam and Carnatic Vocal at Natyam Arts Academy for over 12 years. Nethra is a senior at Dunwoody High School. She has participated in dance productions of NAA like Tapasya, Chapters of her Life, Margam 2016 and Margam 2018. In October 2018, she debuted “The Curious Curators” with her mother at Florida State University. She has also performed for Children’s Museum of Atlanta, ISKON, Tritt Elementary School and Fulton County Library Systems. Nethra mentors and teaches students throughout the week. Our dance and music students look forward to learning from Nethra Akka each week and especially enjoy the nicknames she has for each student.
Varsha Srinivasan has been a student at Natyam Arts Academy for over 6 years. She has been studying Carnatic Vocal music and has performed solos at various events in Atlanta. Varsha has given solo performances for ISKON, Ahobila Mutt and at NAA’s Annual Recitals each year. Varsha mentors our younger Carnatic music students each Sunday with great affection and care. Her commitment to the study of Carnatic music is commendable.
