CURRENT STUDENT INFORMATION CENTER

  • Students are expected to be on time, in proper attire, with hair tied back and prepared for class. Students will be asked to observe lessons if they arrive more than 5 minutes late for in-person lessons or if they are not dressed appropriately for class. A kurta with leggings or tights is the only acceptable dress code for dance class. Students will bring all books and folders as necessary for classes. For safety concerns, younger children will wait inside the studio for parents. Students must be promptly picked up after classes.

  • Virtual classes- grace time is 5 minutes for 30 minute classes and 10 minutes for 60 minute classes, after which time, the instructor will end the session.

  • Performance is a privilege and not a right. Selection to perform at our Music and Dance Programs are merit-based.  Beginners will need to complete basic training first. We also take into account the frequency of absences, preparedness and dedication to form and practice while determining their eligibility to participate in our dance programs. For our vocal concerts, we will look at frequency of absences, practice and commitment to thalam, shruthi, swara sthanam and dedication towards compositions to determine participation. All rehearsals that are marked mandatory will be attended and students/parents acknowledge that missing these will lead to their removal from the program.

  • Refunds and makeup lessons will not be given for missed lessons after the invoice has been sent on the 15th of the prior month. Absences will not be excluded from the invoices starting January 2026. It will be the student’s responsibility to inform the office manager before the generation of the next billing invoice which is the 15th of the prior month and schedule a virtual make up lesson in advance. (If an in-person timeslot is available, we will accommodate that). Please note that there maybe times when the makeup lesson time allocated to you may not work for you and in those cases, please refer to the tutorial videos in your google drive and reach out to the teacher for assistance during your next lesson.

  • Long periods of absences- Students who take a break from classes for more than one month, will not be placed in their current group classes but will be evaluated and placed accordingly. This applies to summer breaks as well. We are a year round institution and do not close for the summer.

  • Virtual students who miss more than a month of lessons will relinquish their time slots and will need to contact the instructor upon their return for a new timeslot.

  • Parents, siblings, friends and family members are not permitted inside the classroom. You are welcome to watch through the viewing window.

  • Students can switch form a group class to private lesson format at any time by discussing availabilities with the instructor.

  • For emergency and weather related closures, NAA will email and post on our Facebook and Instagram pages. Our voicemail will also reflect the closure.

  •  Natyam Arts Academy LLC and its Director reserve the right to refuse services to any person who does not support the policies and decisions set forth.
